Day 1: Hike in 6.3 miles to Jennie Lake (I think 6.3 miles will be no problem on our first day when we're all pumped for the trip even though it may be a travel day. We did 4 at Cuyamaca with Ashtyn and Aubrey)
    - Campfires are allowed!!!
    - Lake has Brook and Rainbow trout so there's a possibility of catching dinner
    - We get to camp by a lake!!

Day 2: 8.7 mile hike to Weaver Lake
    - This is the long hike which is perfect for the middle day when we're up early and lookin for something to do. Still shouldn't take too long
    - Campfires are again allowed!!
    - Fish in this lake too but apparently it is not as good since its easier to get to... overfished.
    - Camp by a lake again!!

Day 3: Hike an easy 3.3 miles back to the trailhead.

Another plus, wilderness permits aren't required so we don't need to pay or reserve anything.

Let me know what you think.

Looks pretty sweet. I couldn't see the pictures earlier at work 'cause of my terrible army internet. I can now though and it looks awesome.

After some thought and talking with Chris about we came up with this. It may be a bit overzealous to make the hike to Weaver Lake on Day 2. Maybe we can hike in to Jennie Lake, set up camp, and use it as a base camp the next day to go on some day hikes. We'll stay at Jennie Lake again the that night and just hike out in the morning. The hike out shouldn't be that bad since its mostly downhill. I don't want to totally rule out Weaver Lake but we can make the decision once we get up there. Once we get to Jennie Lake, if we're feeling ambitious we'll head to Weaver Lake. If not we'll stay at Jennie.

Sounds good to me. Are there any Muellers who want to do this trip? So far I'm only seeing responses by the Lanes!

If you're interested in how far away this is and where we'll be going click the link below. Yes it is a little far but I think its worth it. There's no where closer that you can get lakeside camping and campfires are allowed.

We'll be there in October... mosquitos shouldn't be a problem. Still probably a good idea to bring bug spray though
